Position Title and Location
Senior Consumer Product Design Engineer / Manager - Zhuhai
Position Description:
1.Supervise the Design Team and give detailed advice on product design.
2.Provide direction on product aesthetics for new designs.
3.Provide leadership in problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective action.
4.Communicate with OEM / ODM clients to resolve technical issues & finalize design specifications.
5.Coordinate related departments to complete the design and timely delivery of products.
6.Review prototypes and set procedures for subsequent production of new products to achieve optimum assembly.
7.Help to reduce product development cycles and improve lead times.
Past Experience:
1.Minimum of 7 years experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer working with household or commercial cooking appliances.
2.Demonstrated understanding of materials and processes as they relate to manufacturing performance and costs with specific experience in molding, metal forming, welding/polishing and die casting.
3.Electronic and mechanical testing knowledge for the establishment of processes and procedures, performing tests, and analyzing data.
4.Must have strong development, manufacturing, and sourcing experience.
5.Must have strong cost reduction experience through sourcing, product redesign, and knowledge of cost reduction program development.
6.Experience with timeline drivenS design management/project management activities.
7.Working knowledge of UL, cUL, CE, and RoHS standards.
8.Immediate availability is an advantage.
Education & Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
